Konkona Sen: One of the best actresses in cotemporary parallel cinema has already directed one Bengali short film and her new directorial debut in Bollywood ‘The death in the Gunj’ will be premiered at Toronto Film Festival in September 2016.
Aamir Khan: Mr. Perfectionist has directed Taare Zameen Par, the movie was a massive success and won a lot of awards. It was a commercial success as well as a critical success. He also played the supporting role in the film.
Shriya Pilgaonkar: One of the very few actresses who made a Bollywood debut with SRK in the fan. She has directed 2 short films and 1 documentary in the past which was selected for a lot of film festivals.
Ajay Devgan: He is amongst the finest actors of Hindi cinema. He made his directorial debut with ‘U me Aur hum’ starring Kajol and himself. He is also directing one more movie called ‘Shivaay’ which releases this year.
Nandita Das: She has been on the jury of Cannes film festival twice and also received an award from Government of France for her contribution to the arts. Her directorial debut ‘Firaaq’ featured at Toronto film festival and has travelled over 50 festivals.
Prabhudeva: Choreographer who turned actor and then he turned director has aced all the departments he has been to. He has directed blockbuster like ‘Wanted’ and ‘Rowdy Rathore’. He has also directed a number of Telegu and Tamil films.
Pankaj Kapoor: He is one the most talented actor that Hindi Cinema has, he went behind the camera in 2011 for his directorial debut ‘Mausam’ starring Shahid and Sonam.
Nana Patekar: Known for his impeccable dialogue delivery style, Nana has also tried his hand in directing. The film ‘Prahaar’ was a critical success and was nominated for best story.
