Stunner Amy Jackson is following in the footsteps of pop star Katy Perry and will soon launch her own line of fake lashes. Amy is working on this venture with a friend who also has a beauty background. Amy’s signature line will have not just lash extensions but hair extensions as well as she personally enjoys experimenting with her looks.  Details of the venture are under wraps for the moment but Amy will be back next month after setting up the UK branch of her label and fly down to India to replicate the business model by year-end. There are plans to launch the collection in major cosmetic departmental stores and high end salons. When contacted said Amy, “Extensions are a rage in London but lashes and extensions have just begun to pique curiosity in Indian metros. I’m hoping to cash in on the trend. I’m really excited because I think there’s so much potential in this space. Also, it allows me to pursue my second passion after acting.”
We have a strong feeling, the lovely Amy will make a success of this venture as well. Look at how far she has already gone, for a Britisher in an alien film industry! Starting off as a model, she has worked her way through the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi industries, without knowing a single word of the respective languages. It was winning the 2009 Miss Teen World competition that had led to Tamil film director A L Vijay spotting her and introducing her as an actress in a 2010 Tamil period-drama. Films in Bollywood followed such as the romantic drama EKK DEEWANA THA, and SINGH IS BLING opposite Akshay Kumar, while her career down south powered ahead with greater momentum. She even landed a role opposite none other than Rajinikanth in Shankar’s pet project, ROBOT 2.0 which will see Akshay Kumar playing the villain. And now comes news that the beauty is charging a cool Rs.2 crore for a live performance! Apparently she is set to perform at the opening ceremony of the Tamil Nadu Premier League on August 24, to a medley of songs of her hit South film songs. The organisers reportedly did not even blink when agreeing to fork out the big bucks. You go, Amy!
