Rasika Dugal is an upcoming Bollywood’s recognised face who started out with a Bollywood debut in the film TAHAAN. She has been seen as the lead in TVF’s web series , ‘Humorously Yours’, and films like, KSHAY, QISSA, NO SMOKING, TV shows like P.O.W. Rasika has been part of an Indian German film, ‘Once Again’ directed by Kanwal Sethi, also an array of soap operas. She was part of the short film, ‘Chutney’ starring along with Tisca and Adil Hussain.
This actress has been creatively filling in spots over all the mediums, from films to web series and now word has it, this actress is to be a part of the Bollywood’s one of the most talked about films, former Bombay Talkies, 2013 anthology film’s sequel in 2017, which is directed by Zoya Akhtar. Along with this project, Rasika has committed to do a short film called ‘Life Support’, which is to go public in next two weeks. The short film is directed by none other than, Sudhir Mishra, one known for his skills for working intensively for perfectly analysed films. The film is said to portray Rasika as a young budding politician exposing a relative reality in today’s politics. As for an audience, Rasika is slowly but rather strongly turning our attention towards these critically chosen scripts, gaining recognition in the industry.
Speaking about working on the film, Rasika said, “I am play the role of a young ambitious politician. Very ambitious and very vulnerable. Life Support is a take on current day politics. A story of three people caught in a game of power and conflicting ambitions. For me working with Sudhir was great as I have always had a lot of respect for his body of work. Many of his films are on my list of favourites. Much like his other films, there is nothing conventional about the way he works I enjoyed the challenge of that.”
